I had one of Farage’s fascists knock on my door looking for my vote. I let him ramble on for a few minutes and gave him back his leaflets and asked him that in the future to just put it straight in the bin, that way we can cut out the middleman
We have a habit of merging centuries together in history the further back in time we go (e.g., the Ancient Egyptians as a whole, or at best Old, Middle, and New Kingdom).
I can’t wait to see historians in 5,000 years time talking about how Earls once ruled England, but there came a time where even Earl Elvis of East Anglia couldn’t beat a lettuce (or something like that).
We may (legitimately) complain about the outcomes, but that’s a pretty diverse buffet you’ve got going on. Everyone from the far right all the way round to the communists.
It’ll be interesting to watch the results come in early on the 5th. Staying up for that!
I will never understand why it’s acceptable to have a hammer and sickle on an electoral form in 2024.
The idealogy that symbol represents is directly responsible for 10’s of millions of deaths. Some estimates put it at over 100 million.
It should be treated with similar disgust as the swastika.
