  1. I would start with MASH. This is where started his rise to stardom. I would end with The Hunger Games movies.

  2. My earliest memory of him was probably Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), and even though it’s a turd sandwich, I watched the shit out of ‘Virus’ (1999) when I was younger.

  3. The man could do comedy and drama equally well.

Start with Kelly’s Heroes, Klute, Ordinary People (Mary Tyler Moore was also terrific), Animal House, and JFK.

  4. Two awesome side roles

    Kelly’s Heroes – awesome cast
Hollowpoint – just a fun movie

  5. My dear miss Everdean, i thought we agreed to never lie to each other.

  6. Remember he was in *The Italian Job* remake for like… 5 minutes? He was the best actor in that movie.

  7. His role in Beerfest is iconic and it’s how I hope I go out.

    Say goodnight PoPo

  8. Not a film but I love his acting in the music video for Cloudbusting. So much emotion conveyed and no spoken words.

  9. It was a smaller role and not where I’d start with his oeuvre, but he was a great Mr. Bennet in the 2005 Pride & Prejudice.

  10. I love him in Pride and Prejudice. Such a brilliant actor with so much range.

  11. Ahem. He was one of the greats as in “it’s fucking Donald Sutherland”.

Whatever you saw him in, he killed it.
