Drone duel: Ukraine’s new battlefield tactic to attack Russian UAV’s

now we’re all pretty used to seeing these sorts of videos from Ukraine fpv drones diving down on a Russian tank or a BMP with usually devastating effect but lately we’re seeing some rather different drone videos appear this time the target isn’t on the ground it’s another drone or a loitering munition with its air defenses stretched and Patriot missiles for instance a bit too precious and expensive to fire at drones Ukraine has found another solution turning some of its uavs into drone Hunters them out to intercept and kill Russian drones in this case aala Lan it moscow’s version of the American switchblade now these have a range of around 25 miles and the Russians have used them to destroy lots of Ukrainian armor including leopard tanks this footage is from Ukraine’s 93rd mechanized Brigade and it shows an fpv drone closing in on that Lancet we don’t see any Collision but they do show wreckage on the ground which they say is this UAV so what’s driving this tactic well the Russians have become quite Adept at using surveillance drones like the orand 10 you can see here to locate Ukrainian artillery units particularly high value ones with Western supplied guns in fact these relatively cheap Russian drones are proving more effective in many cases than their high-tech counter battery radar and when they find something they want to Target they’ll hit it with artillery or or send in a lanet and they’ll do it very quickly you may remember seeing these three Ukrainian helicopters being destroyed on the ground as they refueled now keeve knows it can’t compete with Russia’s artillery so instead they’ve turned to what they’re good at fpv drones this was a Russian zala another type of litery munition about to be taken out by a Ukrainian UAV across social media more and more of these videos are appearing of the ukrainians ramming Russian drones this was down in the south over the nepro river now the Russians of of course are doing this too they’re particularly focusing on taking out Ukraine’s babayaga heavy drones which they use at night to attack Russian trenches and their armor this video was from a Russian telegram Channel and supposedly shows a babayaga loaded with Munitions of some description being taken out by a Russian drone and the Russians also of course have plenty of air defense systems to use against Ukrainian uavs this was a Tor M1 firing and narrowly missing a Ukrainian drone but of course these drone duels don’t end there what do air forces the world overdo when their bombers are being attacked well they send a fighter escort and that’s exactly what the ukrainians are now apparently doing this footage shows a small fpv drone which is apparently protecting the larger babayaga and as the video shows doing its job by sacrificing itself and killing the Russian surveillance UAV thanks for watching for more from forces news like And subscribe to our Channel

The war in Ukraine has accelerated drone usage massively, with both sides developing technology that has not previously been seen on the battlefield.

But, with Ukraine’s air defences stretched, it has been forced to develop new tactics to try to keep Russian UAVs at bay.

Forces News Ukraine reporter Simon Newton looked at how Kyiv is turning UAVs into drone hunters and sending them out to intercept and ‘kill’ Russian drones.

  2. Cheap drone Swarms driven by AI and heat and or radar detection. If only the Ukranians had automated drone manufacturing capabilities akin to Tesla giga factory philosophies Russia would be toast on the ground.

  4. Ukraine need to make a drone that has a reinforced leading edge wing for ramming multiple targets before it fails then rig in a small self destruct charge just so the electronics can be salvaged.

  8. It's a weird battle, like from the dawn of aviation with planes sneaking up on other planes and trying to push them out of the air. I guess the platforms are too light for any kind of ballistic weapon?

  11. Only a matter of time before we see drone swarm battles. Drones seem to be following a similar trajectory as the early planes in WW1.

  13. About those ruSSian ships going to Cuba. Perhaps someone should start a go fund me account for Ukraine to purchase fishing boats and/or seaplane(s) so Ukraine can sit in waiting for the ruSSian ships to enter/leave Cuba into international waters. I imagine the fishing boats/seaplanes acting like the mother ship for a bunch or rubber boats. Once Ukraine gets word the ruSSian ships are approaching international waters, Ukraine launches a bunch of manned rubber boats (to lower radar footprint) with several of those wonderfully effective Ukrainian sea drones in various strategic places to discreetly sit and wait. When the ruSSian ships are in range, the rubber boats launch the swarms of sea drones and…

    * Because of God's love for us, He sent his only son Jesus Christ to die in our place on the cross. Jesus Christ took all the weight of our sins so we can be saved through grace, NOT our works.

    * The blood that Jesus shed on the cross can wash away our sins and make us clean

    4. Through Jesus Christ, we can now have eternal life in HEAVEN – (Rom. 6:23b) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    *Gift – free, but you can only have it if you receive it. If you reject it then the punishment of Hell is waiting for you

    5. How can I receive eternal life? – (Rom. 10:9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 

    * You have to admit you are a sinner and you cannot save yourself from Hell nor go to Heaven through your own efforts.

     You have to believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, was buried and rose again after 3 days and that He and only He can save you from hell.

    (Roman 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  

    * Whosoever means anyone including me and you!

    Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and cannot save myself from hell. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins, was buried and rose again.
