Joshua Kimmich is currently unlikely to extend his contract at Bayern. A separation is getting closer. The player would be ready to go into the final year of his contract. Bayern, willing to sell this summer. Talks with Kimmich will take place after the Euros [@Plettigoal, @SkySportNews]

  1. It is what it is. Time to move on. Midfield will be settled with or without him.

  2. Pletti reporting it, so it’s going to be a new 5 year contract

  3. Bayern has no real say in this, kimmich probably wants Same or more money plus midfield Garantie

  4. Geez. Not to be melodramatic but this feels like a turning point in his career. I assume this is because he is not happy playing RB long term. Before this news broke he faced the choice of either:

    1) Find another club that he will play at the number 6/8 position.
    2) Stay at Bayern to play RB.

Will he fail at option 1 then slowly fades into obscurity or achieve new heights in a new team? Or will he stay and become the heir to Lahm. I guess time will tell.

  5. Man is focusing on euros, he don’t give a fuck about no contract at the moment.

  6. As long as he doesn’t go on a free transfer in 2025

In terms of renewing his contract, rumors aside, if we’re rational, it’s evident his favorite position is in the midfield. To extend his contract I think he would want some kind of guarantee he is not going to be a RB or a bench player, and probably will want to make as much as he does currently (nearly 400k a week) or at least the same.

It would be an expensive contract extension, for a player who we still won’t know if he’ll be fighting to be the main RB or part of the double pivot, but it’s already been stated that the objective in the double pivot is Stanisic + Palhinha (or another destroyer), Kimmich doesn’t fit … then at RB, there’s Boey, Stanisic and Mazraoui, so it’s complicated

Given the circumstances I think the best for both parties (Kimmich and Bayern) is for him to be sold for a decent amount, to a team where he will play in his favored role, my prediction is he is going to Barcelona with Flick.

  7. I’m done believing a single word of Pletti, he has no intel, he’s just talking out of his ass.

  8. I don’t understand how they would get this information while he’s currently focused on the Euros and he doesn’t have an agent lol

  9. Stop posting Pletti.

If I posted on twitter no one would give a fuck what I say, and I have the same amount of insider knowledge as him

  10. Despite knowing he can surely offer more and be a part of a winning world-class team, it is very likely Kimmich does not get a new contract. Given all the comments and innuendo, his performance in this last season as a leader and as a player has surely not gone unnoticed.

  11. I posted a big interview with him recently. It didnt sound like he made any decisions in that regard. How does Pletti know this? Kimmich has no agent so it has to come directly from him

  12. I hope he at least goes to city. I liked kimmich, but I think it’s time to move on

  13. Pletti’s sources are always the Bayern side. The board, the directors.

Every negotiation has been leaking like a sieve for every player, the common denominator is the management side.

  14. Pletti has stopped giving any positive news related to Bayern

  15. Pletti giving a fkin documentation as a source… WOW

  16. Is he still pushing to play midfield because if he is I’d rather have them right back no sense of keeping a guy around that takes terrible corners and would be much better at right back than he is a midfielder

  17. 1. Kompany may use inverted fullbacks. And his System requires players to be versatile to interchange positions anyway. So having a versatile Kimmich is a plus for him i think.

    2. It’s Pletti, so this may be another mumbo jumbo from him.
