  1. I repeat that maybe we should just ban Tiktok at this point.

  2. Nationalism? Le Pen confirmed she will privatize the television. That is not and cannot be nationalism.

  3. Tiktok algorithm pormotes him, that is how becomes “trendy”.

Chinese company dictates the public opinion, that’s why it’s so dangerous.

  4. Nothing more cringe that seeing a politician doing Tiktok .

  5. “Among French voters between 18-34, RN was the most popular party, securing 32% of the vote, according to BFMTV; the Renaissance Party of President Emmanuel Macron won just 5% of the youth vote”

This is insane. Completely opposite to the narrative than right wing parties over Europe are dying boomers who just can’t embrace progress.

To make this even more interesting, it is stated that *more women than men voted for him*, undermining naarative that it’s about “angry sexist men”.

  6. That’s a lie. Tiktok hasn’t been around for 28 years.

  7. The shift in voting between older Gen Z/younger millennials and younger Gen Z has been insane. I was born in 1996 and the absolute majority of people I know around my age are social progressives. Younger people though … a lot of them have turned to the far right.

Social media has undoubtedly played a huge part in that. I believe recent research in my country (the Netherlands) concluded that the top 3 news sources for young people are Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. All three of them have been absolutely infested with far right and conservative ‘influencers’ in recent years. Think of Andrew Tate as an example of that. It was only a matter of time for it to be reflected in voting behavior as well.

  8. “French nationalism” is everywhere. Also in the french constitution.

  9. Murders of teacher in France for religious reasons are quite common compared to other nations. These are clearly extreme cases, but one can imagine how is life in certain schools in France for both teachers and students. I would not be surprised by the fact that once reached a critical mass their would start forming ethnic factions and groups with bullying on both sides.

The unwelcome truth is that tiktok and what the far right says probably is more in line with the daily of experience of younger generations. Probably, it is not even the far right but the kids themselves documenting every day accidents, e.g. the Belgian kid that got kicked in the head after being forced to kneel and apologize to all Moroccans.

  10. It’s not as if the strategy is complicated, they’ve simply stopped saying outright that certain groups of people (LGBT/other races/certain religions) deserve to be hated and don’t deserve to live, while at the same time using online trolls to justify subjecting these groups to hate/violence. Far-right beliefs are the same as they have always been, it’s just different packaging.

  11. Imagine being so stupid and easily manipulated into believing a certain political group will actually give a shit about to and help you. They will not.

  12. Good article. I agree with the says PhD-researcher Annina Claesson, it’s not only thanks to TikTok but also to traditional media that he got so much reach.

The media in France is owned by very conservative people like Bolloré (who just bought Le Figaro) helping a lot to make the right wing messages mainstream.

  13. Tik Tok is China’s propaganda machine. They want to create internal division. Sorry guys….it’s true.

  14. Wholly crap, is there something you guys don’t blame on immigration or Muslims? It’s like it’s the 30’s all over again, but back then it was the Jews you wanted a final solution for. Goddamn are you guys racists.

  15. The only thing newer generations don’t have is a grandfather/mother telling them stories about Nazis and Fascists in europe.

They’re sons/grandsons of boomers who never saw a bomb killing all their friends.

    This is why.

  16. I’m pretty sure that it’s the hordes of male muslims coming in hot and the constant raping of french women (and men) that made french nationalism trendy again. Or maybe not, let’s give this man all the credit lol

  17. Young people being influenced in their votes by tiktok algorithms. Fuck this world.

  18. Good, nothing wrong with wanting to be loyal to your country more than your religion. The opposite are a threat to national security.

  19. When did loving your own country become wrong and immoral? The globalists and their cronies will never see it coming when the guillotine takes their heads.

  20. are you telling me “Little Dark Age” edits had an effect on that?

  21. He won’t go far… trust me. I went to the French embassy yesterday and lot of people (young and old) are getting their papers in order so they can go to vote. I believe those people won’t vote the far right wing.

I won’t vote him either. He’s dangerous and doesn’t know what’s he doing in political matter…
