Johnson is clutching at straws now. He cannot refute Starmer’s evidence anymore, so all he can do is resort to schoolboy tactics and attack Starmer himself. Johnson had no debating skill to begin with but even his pitiful toolbox has been depleted in recent weeks. All I can think he is trying to do here is to get a few tabloid front pages to demand an investigation into these claims, giving him enough time to get some PR from his trip to Ukraine in the meantime.

The next GE will be in two years time and by that time Labour will be too unstable to fight them. They can’t stop their infighting long enough. Labour could join forces and between them unseat the Tories, but they’ve both started in the past they will never form a coalition government together.
