  3. Before you know it, there will be certain chunks of land introduced in the new “greater albanian” map, Italian heel looks ripe for the taking🙈

  4. what other groups were brutally displaced across Europe through the colonization and invasion of Europe by the Ottoman and Muslim hordes?

  5. I really like Arbëreshë’s culture, I think it’s important to preserve our minorities cultures and I wouldn’t want their areas (like Piana degli Albanesi/Hora e Arbëreshëvet in Sicily) to become amalgamated to the rest of the region.

And god did Crispi had some great mustache (although we’re still burnt by Adua).

  6. love the * that some churches were destroyed by Communists

  7. Who would win in an election?

    1. Someone from northern Italy

  8. Things connecting Albania to Italy: Millions of Albanians migrating illegally to Italy and a lot of them in prison

  9. Some of my best friends growing up were first generation Albanians. Thank you for making our lives more beautiful!

  10. There are many errors in the part of ethimology of italian words. They dont come from albanian absolutely. They come from latin.
Castello comes from latin word Castellum/Castrum. Carega comes from latin Cathedra and vulgar latin Catecra.

  12. > Italy supported Albania’s independence in 1912.

Yeah nothing significant happened between the two countries since then. Italy has continuously supported Albanian independence since 1912

  13. This connection goes way back to Ancient Roman times with the Messapians. They were an Illyrian tribe in Apulia, and Illyrians are the most likely ancestors of modern Albanians.

  14. The Messapian tribe who inhabited Apulia before it was conquered by the Romans were probably Albanians.

  15. As Italian from Veneto I think that Albanian are our brothers!
My visit to Tirana open definitely my heart with this brotherhood
