‘Politics shouldn’t be a game of working class Top Trumps’ | The Daily T Podcast
you know I was think thinking back to that interview richy sunet did the other week when he got ridiculed for saying he went without Sky TV and I think the reason he was ridiculed is that it would have been actually perfectly okay for the for rishy sunat to say you know my parents came here with not very much but thanks to their hard work and sacrifice I didn’t have to go without as a child that’s all right that’s kind of what we want for every child and I think you know I certainly wouldn’t have judged him harshly if he’d said um or judged him at all in fact if he’ said we had a really comfortable upbringing growing up and I was really lucky and uh as prime minister that’s what I want for everyone I think that is that’s perfectly good answer um you know politics shouldn’t be a game of working-class top trums [Music]

Absolutely spot on. That's what makes it even worse. Rishi can't even be comfortable with his own wealth. People shouldn't feel shame for being successful.
Growing up I never had the opportunity to trash our economy.
Why is he defending a ch ut
I wonder if rishi Sunak learnt off his parents how to avoid paying his tax and become extra rich or was it is wife due to her owing millions in tax to two different countries. Hmmm if the tax man cant get what he is owed then it is passed down to all of us to pick up the pices the MPs leave behind
He was after the working class vote.
