This will sound mental, but my girlfriend told me that in her hometown, people know who to go to for curing various ailments. I know this isn't real, but she showed me photos of people asking for recommendations to treat shingles, and others were replying with contact numbers for the best people to reach out to.

I didn't believe this so she showed me on Facebook. Is this a known thing or what's happening? Do people in small towns not just go to the doctor's when they have the shingles?

  1. Aye it was common enough years ago, I didn’t actually realise it was still going

  2. I haven’t had a “cure” but I’ve been taken to be “charmed” dunno if it’s a similar area of witchcraftery, my ailment was proving resistant to western medicines and all the old ppl kept suggesting it and eventually I actually went 😂

  3. Have you tried getting an appointment to see your GP lately?

  4. Rub a spud on it and bury it in the bog

    O, and don’t look back
