   Putin heard and continues to hear what he wants to hear and acts as he wishes. Reality is a cruel mistress and has crushed mightier men than the puffy wannabe tsar.

   Putin’s days are numbered. He will run afoul of his own machinations soon enough and when he does there will be such a cry of freedom across the country eastern steppe, it will echo from the Volga to the Bering. Tick tock.
