Character number 4! Kalma is the personification of death and graves. She often lingers there, and moves like smoke, hence the layer of fog in the drawing. She is touching an old style Finnish grave: a carving into a tree. As she also represents decay, her body shows signs of deterioration (only the right side elbow;)). Kalma is accompanied by Surma, gatekeeper of the underworld. He’s a wolf with a snake’s tail. You can see it wrapped around Kalma’s leg.
