Can someone explain why the Sindo seem to have it in for this doctor. They describe him as having "covertly" gone to Ukraine to train doctors there on limb reconstruction, insinuating that's a bad thing? I know there is an investigation into his practice, but that also reads a bit like the man is being scapegoated. Just something really fishy going on with this whole thing.

  1. The whole thing surrounding Connor Green is so feckin sketchy. The guy speaks out about the HSE waiting lists and refuses to go along with lying to patients about the pandemic being the cause rather than horrific management within the HSE and then suddenly a story comes out about him doing ‘dodgy’ surgeries. Despite the fact no one has actually brought a case against him and the medical council have not taken away his membership.

He’s even still employed by Temple street but is on ‘voluntary’ leave with parents of the children attending him begging the hospital to bring him back…

legally yes its a bad thing

  3. The politicians know exactly what the story is here!

That is why the CEO has ‘stepped aside!’

I would imagine the third report mentioned in that article is complete and now the HSE is in big trouble over potential litigation by this doctor. I hope he cleans them!

One of the worlds leading experts in this surgery forced aside. Some of these medics are unbelievable in their duty to care for others.

Imagine the team work involved in working these children up for such complex surgery – surgeons, neurologists, infectious disease specialists, nurses, care staff, anaesthetists, etc. – and the managers respond to delay this access!

    An absolute scandal!

  4. He operated on my child and saved her years of hardship, ever time I went to Temple St weekend’s included he seemed to be there and I always found him courteous to deal with. He laid out for my daughter what was wrong and how he would fix it and didn’t sugar coat it, she was a young teenager at the time. I would suspect he didn’t suffer fools gladly and that can rub some people up the wrong way. Obviously I don’t know what went wrong after that but my interaction with him was only positive and I wish him well in the future
