RIP James.
I wasn’t particularly au fait with Don’t Stop Believin’ prior to the show so now **always** think of that amazing ending whenever I hear it
Wow 25 years! The best series ever! But the movie didn’t do it any justice. Should have left it alone.
Adrianna really made me realize I had a type
Recently finished a rewatch of this and so glad I did. My older adult brain got so so much more out of it. Absolutely Shakespearean.
If you haven’t yet seen the show, maybe go do that soon? Also don’t watch or read a single bit of fan commentary or media about the show, ever again, until you’re done. Not even Reddit posts like this. You’ll thank me later.
I don’t think it’s aged well. Even when it first came out the accents and mannerism were so exaggerated like old school gangster films.
“Remember when” is the lowest form of conversation
All I want is a 4K box set…
It was great when Band of Brothers and Sopranos ran back to back Sunday night
No TV show in history, bar maybe Deadwood, packs as much quality in every single episode as The Sopranos imo. And much like Deadwood actually, it’s the immensely witty dialogue that makes each episode so easily rewatchable.
The fact that The Sopranos and The Wire were both on TV at the same time (and on the same network) still blows my mind.
The Wire is a better show.
Greatest ending ever…it sucked….but making so many people think their cable went out suddenly was hilarious. The next day, when people realized that was the end, there was so much discussion/complaining about what the end meant
I’m in a never ending re-watch of Sopranos. I always find myself throwing on a random episode and then just watching from that spot until I finish the series again.
My all-time favorite show. A true classic. I miss it,and James Gandolfini so much.
The Sopranos are looking back on The Wire?
Weird premise for a article.
While the show is entertaining it has no moral substance. Tony is the same at the beginning as he is at the end.
