  1. Well that is actually a well constructed and reasoned arguement.
Though I disagree with him, since I am a dirty Penne enjoyer

  2. Obviously Fusilli. Come one, we all knew the answer in our hearts

  3. Fusilli is just as bad as farfalle, you can’t get an even cook with that big centre section.

    Paccheri is the best

  4. I can confirm the existence of casual Italians, it’s basically everyone in the middle of the country

  5. I was expecting him to shout freeeedooom and go liberate Scotland at the end ov the video.
    I’m disappointed.

Speaking about the pasta shape I would recommend him to try the cannelloni.
I think that is the perfect shape for him.
And that is because all he has to do is to grab the biggest and longest cannellone and he needs to gently squeeze it until he hears little cracks, that because they must be uncooked, then he needs to turn the cannellone sideways and stick it straight up his candy ass.

  6. Hard to argue with the science on this one, 1/16 Italian… always knew there was something off about him! No body is perfect I guess

  7. Spaghetti, Penne, Rigatoni, Fusilli. I prolly ate too much Fusilli when I was young because my dad freaking love them so I got bored after like twenty years of Fusilli every single day so I went with Spaghetti more. Penne, well, I like them, I alternate with Spaghetti a bit. Rigatoni is the best for Amatriciana so I use them all weekends.

    oh, i’m dumb, i love ditalini /s

  8. He’s absolutely right about farfalle.

Also fusilli and penne are easily the most popular types of pasta in Italy, by far, along with spaghetti.

Fusilli and penne are also different in the sense they go well with different kinds of sauces: penne all’arrabbiata, fusilli al pesto, and so on.

He’s really using 100% of that 1/16th yank nonsense.

  9. Everyone in the know knows Penne and Rigatoni are the superior forms of pasta.

  10. À potatofile giving advice on pasta… What a time to be alive!

  11. I cannot believe he has the balls to out himself as such a BASIC BITCH.
The only reaosn people wouldn’t pick rigatoni is if they haven’t tried rigatoni

  12. He is 100% right about fusilli but wrong about farfalle, the actual worst pasta is ruote (wheels), they are an abomitation in the eyes of the Lord and an affront to God and Man and all things Holy.
There is also a third cathegory however, seldom talked about and that’s the most infamous pasta shape, whitch is without the shadow of a doubt penne lisce (smooth penne). If someone offers you a plate of penne lisce, watch your back because there’s probably already a knife in there. These treacherous carb tubes make you THINK they’ll hang on the sauce and lull you into a false sense of security only to let it fall back in the plate or on your clothes as you are about to eat it, so you end up eating unseasoned pasta and are left with a plate of plain sauce and a dirty shirt

  13. My personal ranking:

    1. Tortellini

    2. Farfalle

    3. Fusilli/Spirelli

    4. Gnocchi

    5. Penne Rigate

  14. For me its either penne or a meat tortellini. Penne just holds a thicc sauce incredibly welp

  15. Fus-ì-lli, not Fù-silli.

Other than that no notes, consider yourself fully Italian.

  16. It’s Tortellini and it’s not even close.

Only good thing to come out of the city of Bologna

  17. If you play this at 3x speed it looks like one of those whiny ranting memes

  18. I am a mere Barry and not even 1/16 Italian, but Patrizio here seems to actually have a cogent argument that makes sense. Luigi?

  19. I am quarter Italian (thanks, grandma, for cheating on that cruise) and I‘ll agree, with penne at a close second, and then Bucatini with spaghetti put inside them

  20. He Is right: farfalle are shit and the middle never cooks uniformly, and fusilli are God Tier Pasta.

  21. There’s no “best shape”, since every shape has its use depending on the sauce.

  22. It’s pronounced foose hilly though. Top tier paddy’s shape, but I guess vermicelli (thicker spaghetti) is the actual best shape

  23. Now, when do we get the response video from an Italian man and his GF while he is vigorously shaking his almost clutched hand at the screen?

    Can’t wait.

  24. Conchiglie and Tagliatelle enjoyers? Anyone? (Possible typo, don’t kill me)

  25. The spring shape of fusilli is great for pasta. It kind of remembers me of springs.

Just imagine an italian William Afton being stabbed by multiple fussili

  26. Linguine is better than spaghetti in every single instance and I’m tired of pretending it isn’t.

  27. Trick question: it depends on the dish, the condiment and so on 😤

  28. Counter argument :every pasta shape serves a purpose and deserves respect and love for its service 🫡
