Indeed! And actually lots of fun during parties when unaware people burn their tongues and lips. 🙂
Bitterballen are the best food in the world while enjoying alcohol.
Germans have the best food for after (Kebab).
Yess, bitterballen are the best snack, but the best Dutch food ever created is Ertensoep (Snert) It’s perfect for a weekend dinner in the winter and can even be kept in the freezer for months.
Hard disagree.

Yes and is a bit sad
I haven’t lived in the Netherlands for over 10 years, this is one of the few things I miss.
What is this?
It’s a hard decision between bitterballen and stroopwafel for what is better. But yes bitterballen is one of our greatest creations
I heard those aren’t even bitter. The Dutch bastardising our language isn’t new, but still.

Mmm. Van mora!
Thought it’s falafel for a moment
Just finished eating Camembert, are europeans just one big family?
At least, they are edible
They’re meatballs minus all that expensive meat. Peak Dutch indeed.
Bitterballen Höhöhö
Bitterfittan
Veal, flour, eggs, butter, meat stock… it sounds like croquetas/croquettes/crocchette, many countries have them. And I have yet to try one I did not like.
This Barry would smash those down. But they’re breaded and beige, so you already knew that.
