1. For those not interested in reading the NY Times, the Comstock act is an ancient law that is no longer enforced. The law would allow the government to ban the mailing of birth control and abortion drugs. That is the freedom the party led by a convicted felon is now targeting.

17. Interesting tidbit about the comstock act…introduced by an Anthony Comstock who was appalled by the profanity and pornography he saw in Union Camps during the Civil War. The fact that men were watching their friends get blown to pieces by grapeshot was ok tho.
