Love this shit – am imagining thousands of mines hidden in the silt, senses a ship some miles off, sends a tiny module to the surface which tells Ukraine to send a drone or train cameras from a satellite and verify if it’s friend or foe and if its going to go overhead, if it is signal is received by the module who makes its way back to the mine or if currents won’t allow it just communicates with the mine to stay put and ready to fire, change location x meters north for eg and ready to fire, stand down etc. If no signal then standown. Upon orders to arm and once relocated point of maximum sound, dark shape on surface etc it lunches like a missile toward the ship above which has zero defence or warning before impact.

   Lockheed Martin or Ukrainian military I’m waiting for your call.

5. Sea drones look to be even more the future of naval warfare than air drones are of army warfare. Time to start deputizing more dolphins. Probably the best defense around. Or maybe I’m just a terrible nerd who thinks a carrier battle group with a pod of allied dolphins patrolling for incoming drone cavitation waves would be cool beyond belief.

6. I’d like to see the drone swarms close the Black Sea and corner the Russian fleet and then attack!
