    His safety is always going to be in danger.

  7. The information JA leaked undoubtedly cost people their lives. Often, information is classified to protect methods and sources. His leaks allowed foreign powers to identify and neutralize protected sources. When JA was confronted about the harm of his leaks, he replied “Well, they’re informants,” … “So, if they get killed, they’ve got it coming to them. They deserve it.” (Source: The Guardian 18 SEP 11).

There are many possibilities what he or Wikileaks may really be behind the scene and what the public know (the one sided leaks against western installations while they might have had sources against Iran etc. is really weird and looks controlled at time, he had files about corruption in non-western countries confirmed by former co-workers and never released it, led to inner tensions and the exit of other prominent wikileaks figures, maybe he wanted to release his source material on Russian/Chinese corruption some times later or use it as joker, fact is that China/Russia didnt use his martyr status for propaganda as much as they could have used it which is interesing in its own way, maybe they never wanted to push him a hero because it would have looked very wronger if he decided to release the info about them or use it in a deal) but the waiting time he faced in the last year was pure psychological terror. Just imagine in worst case he faced prison in a Supermax Prison with total isolation rules. On a personal level its good for him and incredible relief – on a geopolitical level its difficult to be believe he is a saint or neutral actor.

  30. Every highly upvoted opinion comment on Worldnews is like it was written straight up by some White House press secretary. All day, everyday, on every frontpage post. It’s so weird.

    I’m not implying *that they were* (or that they were written by some bot), by the way, that would be crazy. You don’t even need that – when you know what every single citizen thinks and talks about and writes (given you spy on them all 24/7) you can just manipulate them a multitude of ways.
    Just pointing out how amazingly convenient is the coincidence that every highly popular fortuitous comment just happens to align almost exactly with official american state sponsored discourse and media talking points. So interesting. There’s some variation here and there, one comment says tomato the other says tomato, and we call it a day.

  33. About time this is settled his military secrets cannot be more illustrative than the secrets that Trump exposed or sold on nuclear and US military plans, come on stop having double standards and get with it and show comparable justice.
