‘Obsession’: Scottish Tory manifesto says SNP more than once per page

  1. There’s some kind of neat symmetry in it. The rise of the SNP is because of the tories in Westminster and the rise of the tories in Scotland was because of the SNP in Holyrood.

One thing leading to another and to another.

  2. My local Tory candidate just said “only I can beat the SNP.” Nothing else.

Other candidates for the most part at least mentioned party commitments if not local issues they would champion but the Tory guy was just purely about beating the SNP.

  3. Without Indy or the SNP the Scots Tories would be so lost. They’d have to try come up with policies that arent just ‘vote us no indy’

  4. They are trying to appeal to morons who vote against their interests and have no actual ideas other than SNP bad.

What do you expect from unionists?

  5. They’ve got nothing else . “Vote for us, we’re better than the SNP” without giving any credible evidence that there will be change.

Same for the other English party, ‘Scottish’ Labour.

  6. I mean they are the ones in government in Scotland. I’m sure the Labour Party and the Lib Dems mention the Tories a fair amount as well. Like what do they expect?

  7. All I’ve heard from Labour candidates is the SNP is bad, vote for us for change! Not a surprise their blue half is doing a similar campaign

  8. I was working from home and got the blue leaflet through the door this morning.
Went out to give it back to the lad and he wouldn’t take it so I said “well that’s shite o ye; dishin your paper recycling out for other folk to throw away”.
He started wi “well, under the SNP…” And my auld neighbour stuck her head out her living room window and went “get right to fuck ya dirty Tory!”.
Tbh I wish I had the balls she has.
