Because people have now largely moved on from COVID. Everything is open and mask wearing is purely optional. There’s been a tacit agreement that everyone is now going to get on with their lives. It amazes me that the guardian can somehow write an article about something so obvious.
The media desperately wants the world to go back to the lockdown days. They don’t want people to move on from Covid and would rather maintain this circle jerk. I don’t know about the UK but many countries citizens will not tolerate another lockdown again. Their governments know their populace are already on the edge of their patience.
Gotta kill the time somehow
Because the Guardian purposefully ignored the past few months when Scotland was driving it.
Because it has by far the greatest population of the four nations and has some of the most densely populated as well?
Dunno just a guess without even opening that tabloid rag.
Must be another slow news day at the Guardian, they ran a similar story yesterday. Cases aren’t the problem, deaths and hospitalisations are and they also fail to mention the level of testing done in the UK compared with other countries, we’ve tested 5x more people than Germany as an example. Just trying to use anything to attack the Government or Brexit, making stories up out of nothing.
I wonder if they’ll do a story on the head of the NHS telling MP’s today that last winter, despite it being pretty bad for Covid the heath system was never overwhelmed and coped well.
Hmmm, it couldn’t possibly be because England is by far the largest and densest of the constituent countries in the UK?
As usual for the Guardian, when it was Scotland leading the case increases a month or so ago there was total silence on the issue.
