  1. This is not shocking at all, for people who live in the real world.

  2. A surprise to who? There are people who believe NATO encroachment caused Russian aggression (this is not an endorsement of the idea btw). Is also true that many people doubt sending billions in aid to a country they feel doesn’t have a chance of survival in its current form (also not an endorsement). And further, neither the Tories nor Labour have done much for the UK and their platform is *always* “We will do what we did before, but this time we double promise.” At this point third parties are going to make waves no matter who.

  3. Is he someone new? Never seen this person before.

  4. Farage still being in UK politics highlights either how stupid the average brit voter is, or how deep their political class is under Russia’s boot.
Even after it became painfully obvious that Russia manipulated them into Brexit, they still can’t see how they are being maneuvered through cunts like Farage.

  5. I imagine it’s like most other European countries with rising far right parties: people are pro-Ukraine, but it’s not a voting issue. They focus on other issues, that make them vote for these parties.

The fact that the far right prefers Russia is not a reason to vote for them, but also not a reason to not vote for them. Unfortunately.

Other political parties could / should have seen this coming a long time though.

  6. When the UK left the EU the number of applicants for Irish passports skyrocketed, -Farage was one of them-

edit: second half of that appears to be incorrect

  7. Political parties who rely on populism usually play the victim card. The bad, bad establishment who undermines the poor, poor nazis/communists.

Unfortunatelly it seems to work. At least here in Germany with the AfD. And apparently in the UK too.

  8. I swear, Rishi could have announced the election and immediately Buddy Dwyered himself and still ran a better campaign than he’s currently doing.

  9. I liked him a lot better when he ate a crocodile penis on TV. I didn’t like him then either, but at least I got to see him eat a croco-bar.

  10. I’d guess given his audience, if anything it’s because of and not despite his Putin comments.

  11. Farage is a symptom of a much deeper sickness in British politics. If he disappeared tomorrow then all the problems he represents would still remain.

  12. Man right wing politics doesn’t work, let’s vote even more right!

Holy shit the West is stupid.

  13. Well, the Tories have been pushing the envelop as to now overlap reform policies. It like, no one believes anything they say since Brexit is a flop.

    where is the 350 million?

  14. Basically this just means both Reform and Tories will get very few seats, right? FPTP is going to murder them.

  15. Whilst Reform has undeniably grown in support since the start of the election, most opinion polls have reform lower than the conservatives, this one is an outlier.

  16. I’m pretty sure his anti-Ukrainian comments gave him a boost in the polls.

  17. Issues over here are immigration, housing, wages/inflation.

  18. Last week some poll say reform would only get 1 seat, and torries get 110 seat, so probably gonna find out which is true in real election.

  19. I wish Tories to collapse. They are a party for no-one. Unless maybe for rich dudes.

  20. Farage being a terrible human being does not absolve the Tories in any way, shape or form. That’s not how it works.
