Serious massaging of the figures. I would say it a lot more when you factor in the hidden homeless etc.
Won’t someone think of the poor landlords though?
54 per cent Vs? Hot weather brings people outside
And it will continue to rise, cause you cant fix anything overnight
It’s risen pretty much everywhere. But especially so in big cities.
Winter is going to be horrible.
Govt can’t say they don’t know, so if no plan is in place then …
The government doesn’t give an f about the poor. They can just say a few negative things about Israel or a
Social
Justice issue and the electorate will
Come
Out cheerleading for them.
How much is this is the Uk exporting their problem and how much is existing housed people being put on the streets.
Have less sympathy for those getting on Ryanair flights and then flushing their passport on arrival because we are perceived as generous.
But we really need a proper plan. I think prefabbed homes, container mini homes etc need to be considered.
Ireland is a wealthy country well within its mean to be both functioning and improving across the board. Things are heading in this direction because they want it to.
Yet I seen a post earlier of a whole street vacant and boarded up…like…wtf?

I’m surprised it’s only up 45 people since last year, considering the situation with the tents at Mount Street and the canal.
Even more surprising is that total count is lower than it was ten years ago (also going by DRHE figures).
