  1. It’s truly astonishing that the Lebanese people allow a militia to drag their entire country into war. It is entirely possible that broad conflict with Israel could spark another Lebanese civil war.

  2. Israel left South Lebanon in May 2000. There is no occupation, no settlers no soldiers and no land disputes between the two countries, so what's the point? They don't stand a chance against Israel and just put Lebanon in grave risk
