Hungary suffered 2 setbacks today in its efforts to thwart EU aid to Ukraine.1 – Belgians rushed through negotiating mandate for Commission to start Ukrainian accession negotiations before the Hungarians EU presidency starts next Monday.2 – Lawyers ruled Orban cannot block €1.4 Bn EU military aid.

   Expecting Ukrainian President Zelensky to join EU PMs & presidents at #EUCO summit on Thursday to sign a new EU-Ukraine security pact promising equipment, training, rebuilding, refugee hosting and assurances on future EU membership.
