  1. The workers united will never be defeated! Join a Union!

  2. Ah bollocks. I already switched my flight from the Sunday to the Monday. Is there an update of the list of cancelled flights I can check to confirm I’m affected?

  3. > “A cost increase for pilots wouldn’t just stop at pilots because you can imagine what the other employees would say. I think you could expect further disruption down the road just so other employees look to copy that.”

Oh no! People want to be paid more money! [God forbid people want more money when the bosses are earning millions](https://www.independent.ie/business/irish/trio-of-top-aer-lingus-executives-split-bulk-of-millions-of-euro-in-pay/a460770448.html)

  4. Just landed in Dublin airport, Aer Lingus flight from Barcelona, changed my flight from Thursday to today. Pretty slow all round, baggage claim was delayed and stuck on runway for a while, so give yourself extra time if flying…

Still, I side with the pilots, Aer Lingus makes millions upon millions a year, I fly with them once a month mainly due to the staff and professionalism, I don’t want the pilots underpaid and overworked, pay up…

  5. How long will this go on for?

Other airlines’ flights have become very expensive?

  6. People bitch and moan about not getting pay rises and having shit conditions in work then also bitch and moan when people take industrial action. It’s not the pilots fault you’re on bad wages

  7. “During the work-to-rule, pilots will not work overtime or perform any out-of-hours duties requested by management. They will only work the published rosters and will not accept or work any amendments to published rosters, while they will also not answer phone calls or log onto the Aer Lingus portal outside of work hours.” (from the Independent) I presume that’s the norm for the sector, but it seems ridiculous that it’s causing such disruption, when it’s not even a strike.

  8. That is just with work to rule and no strike. It was stroke of brilliance to not go on strike. The airline is 100% at fault here. They need to offer better pay to the pilots.
