  1. LMAO, Labour could lurch to the left and still only be a centrist party.

  2. So, are you voting for UK Labour in Scotland thinking (despite all evidence) that they will shift to left wing politics?

    Or

Are you voting for UK Labour in Scotland because you were actually Right-Wing all along?

  3. Had my Labour MP at my door the other day asking for votes, told him I wasn’t voting Labour because they were moving to the Right. He said actually they’re just moving to the Centre. Had to explain that they were still moving away from my political position, which is over to the left somewhere.

  4. Anyone thinking a Starmerite government will even glance left are deluding themselves.

  5. Based, most people in the UK don’t want to live in a leftist hellhole. Too many people think Reddit is representative of the general population.

  6. I thought that was what a lot of his supporters were hoping?

It’s the entire basis of the “ming vase” strategy – so be really, really careful and not say or do anything until you get into power?

  7. I feel the poeple who believe he is gonna move left after being elected are the same folk who believed Trump would change once becoming president, it wont happen, put the copium down.

  8. 30 years ago, Labour’s current policies would have been seen as Conservative.

Even the Conservative party accepted that a majority of independence supporting Scottish MPs would mean independence. Now neither Labour nor Tories are even willing to discuss the matter.

Put on top of that the ‘debates’ which are broadcast here. They focus on matters which are devolved to Scotland, but the budget that determines how much Scotland can spend is decided by WM.

England needs its own parliament and there is no way around it IF you want the UK to continue. And obviously, I don’t.
