  1. Is this because you see it as a heavier version of milk? I know we see a cappuchino as just a lighter version of coffee

  2. Italians when they see a tourist eating pizza with fork and knife:

  3. As they should. I can’t even ridicule it. The Italians are right.

  4. I’ll have the chicken pasta to start, followed by the Hawaiian pizza and an oat milk vanilla latte with cream and sprinkles please. Gracias mate

  5. Is the “no cappuchino after 11:00” because you guys are much more lactose intolerant than the rest of us?

  6. Oh no warm milk after 11, the Italians mortal enemy for no real reason

  7. Then make a Late Macchiato, it’s the same thing anyway.

  8. I’m having a hard time understanding why a cappuccino at 15:00 is somehow morally wrong

  9. At three pm I can understand because sometimes you just woke up and want a little afternoon breakfast. But the problem is when they have a pizza, spaghetti and whatever, and then end the meal with a cappuccino when they mouths are still dirty with tomato sauce or worse : Fish.

  10. Sorry but I’m with the yanks on this one.

If I’m going to a cafe in the afternoon: I might be bringing my laptop to do some work. I might be bringing a book to have a quiet read. I might be meeting a friend to have a catch up. The reason is irrelevant.

What I am wanting is a warm drink I can sit and enjoy for a wee while. It fills exactly the same function as a cup of tea would do traditionally. If it was tea nobody would bat an eyelid, but because I’d prefer a coffee all Italians lose their minds.

I don’t just want to shot some coffee for the buzz of feeling awake. I want to sit down, relax, and enjoy my drink. Is that a crime?
