Did a shop in Matalan and Next yesterday and pretty much every t-shirt and shirt I bought is either too baggy or rides right up half my chest when I lift my arms. Fuck all fits!

Anyone know if any decent places in North Down/Belfast that sell proper clothes for Stephen Merchant giant sized freaks like me? Happy to shop online as well.

  1. Get a sewing machine. Only way you’re gonna be happy with the fit.

  2. Very common, especially in those shops too man tbh.

As said, look for tall fits, or try some more expensive brands(shite I know but usually fit a lot better, just a fact!)

M&S some nice gear this season but again some
Shirts abit short, iv the same problem, tall bastid!

  3. Could be worse. Could have no shoulders like me 😭 absolutely NOTHING fits.

Too old now to care so just wear shite zip ups that I’ve had for yonks that don’t cover my wrists. Miami vice style.

  4. Go to the Netherlands. I live in Belgium but look like a typical Irish bloke (short and rounded in the middle) and in this country, and especially Holland, NOTHING fits me properly.

  5. High and Mighty are for tall men and are part of the Jacomo range.

FYI Stephen Merchant has been banned from shopping there for life so definitely don’t mention him in any way

  6. 195cm wide shouldered person here

Pretty much only designer or online works for me for tops.

Jacamo is a go to for me

Dunnes comfort stretch fit trousers also work well

  7. We should really have a Tall & Small type gig over here. I have the opposite problem… I need tiny man sizes.

  8. It’s a matter of finding a country where people are the same shape as you and buying clothes from there. For instance, I know not to buy Italian shoes now, they’re for people with slender feet; my feet are more or less square. French clothes fit me, English ones not so much.

  9. I always go for tall fits it’s more accommodating for the larger shoulders and gut while being a good base to work from.
To get a good fit you need to experiment because there are no realistic size standards.
    I’m 6’4” 121kg I’m somewhere between XLT and XXXL.

  10. Theres a shop in lisburn that has clothes for big guys , there’s also one beside connswater shopping centre on the main road
