Putin and Russian media were heaping praise on Macron, Macron delivered compliments to Putin and smiled right in Putin’s face… as he sent these AMX-10RC systems to Ukraine.
Western politicians were debating madly about sending tanks and how it could escalate things, each daring the other to go first. The AMX-10RC is not a tank, but it has a big ass turret on the top and the media were all calling it a light tank or tankette. It didn’t matter if they were wrong, it opened the floodgates. U.K. promised Challenger tanks and the U.S. and Germany came to the party as well.
