Reportedly no casualties

  1. I always think of how scale is just something that the human mind can’t easily process. Ask someone to imagine 50k people and they can probably think of a sporting arena. Ask them what 530 thousand people look like and they just can’t. That’s the scale of potential Russian casualties. Ask that same person to think of a military vehicle like a tank or an MRAP and the average person might have seen one transported on the highway or have been to a military event. Ask that same person what tens of thousands of those would look like as burnt out husks and they wouldn’t have a clue. Couple that with each of those vehicles being valued between $200k and $5 million and the numbers just don’t make sense. How a nation can throw these sorts of numbers at a war that doesn’t have a defined end and isn’t even an existential crisis, just does not compute. Soviet wave assault tactics man, you can read about them, but when you see its ugly face, just damn…
