He absolutely does not play "tikkie takka" and his link up is below average. Can barely progress the ball through the wings and does not offer any runs in behind consistently, yet people go crazy over him as if he's prime Sterling. Does not have a good header and not good enough at finishing.
23 goals in 3 seasons is pretty awful for a winger who was bought for 50 million euros. I'd excuse the output if he actually offered any threat with the ball. I blame the management but the player isn't free of any criticism. Excluding his hat-trick in January, that's 4 goals in total across the season in LaLiga. Make whatever you want of that. He's not good as a winger and definitely not good as a striker. 35 million would be a godsend for him.

i mean in my opinion he isn’t wrong but I see where your coming from but you also have to realize we’ve never gave him a real chance or never even tested him at the false 9 role you can tell he has a talent for goal
His touch is not good enough for a false 9 and Barca don’t play with inside forwards to make runs into the space behind. They play with wide wingers that like the ball to feet
He’s been pretty bang average for the most part. I’ve been holding out hope for him but I’m starting to side with the people saying City fleeced us on this one.
He does try to play one touch slightly more than others. Whether or not he’s effective at it, that’s up for debate.
sometimes he’s good, most of the time he isn’t. I barely notice him when he’s on the pitch. he wasted so much money on him and he’s probably only worth 20 million now.
