I am not one to jump on the “Boeing bad” bandwagon and have previously been calling out articles that mention minor Boeing incidents that also routinely happen with Airbus (or other manufacturers) such as cracked windshields etc and which try to present that as yet another serious Boeing incident.
The reason I think that *this* particular incident is noteworthy is because it is eerily similar to incidents that led to two fatal 737 Max crashes.
In both of those incidents, there was a sharp loss of altitude, coupled with a nose down moment and an increase of speed. Just like in this incident. The only difference is that the incidents that lead to fatal crashes happened during take off, while this incident happened during a go-around (aborted landing), and, of course, that in those two incidents pilots couldn’t recover altitude and the airplane crashed.
[Whistleblower warned Boeing of improperly drilled holes in 787 planes that could have ‘devastating consequences’ — as FAA receives 126 Boeing whistleblower reports this year compared to 11 last year]( https://edition.cnn.com/2024/06/26/business/boeing-whistleblower-787/index.html)
If it’s Boeing, I’m not going.
I think after all of that airlines should stop buying and using Boeing 737 MAX until Boeing fixes all problems with these planes
Look, it’s clearly a pilot error. We should probably pull all legal resources into prosecution the pilot. With enough intimidation and threats of financial bankruptcy for the pilot and their close families I would imagine they will admit to being in the wrong.
There. Problem solved. Boeing is completely innocent – go home now
it’s almost as if there was a good reason why 737 max was grounded for a while not to mention the recent events. as the saying goes “if it’s boeing i’m not going”
All this Boeing stuff starts reminding me the old Ukrainian dark comedy show The Nose Dive.
> The passenger aircraft Broiler-747 crashes over the waters of the Atlantic Ocean over the course of 325 episodes. The airliner crew bravely fights to save the passenger lives.
> The cast:
> The undaunted and courageous Commander.
> The inventive and resourceful Second Pilot Drinkings.
> The charming and unflappable Stewardess.
> The cool-headed and charismatic Radio Operator Morse.
> And also
> The incomparable Miss Murple in the role of Miss Burple.
> In the series The Nose Dive!..
If she’s not Airbus, she’s sus
Ryanair, “Because smooth landings are fecking boring”.
Perhaps a whistleblower was on board xd
Ah nvm no whistleblower would be dumb enough to fly in a boing plane
boeing is a big problem
Dude, I get that everyone’s here for a cheeky pun and a joke, but Ryanair is the only company offering flights to my hometown, and it’s usually by 737 max… big yikes.
I am not at all a specialist in aerospace but is 2000 ft really a big drop?
It is less than 40m per seconde.
