According to @kicker , there’s still some opposition from the ‘very top of the club’ to the signing of Jonathan Tah, which may at least limit Max Eberl’s room for maneuver. Eberl needs the approval of the supervisory board for deals that exceed €50m in total package (fee + wages)

  5. I’m gonna assume there is some bullshit going on here. As far as official transfers go, Eberl has been awesome, I’m so out on bayern rumors at this point. All our signings came out of nowhere, despite us being linked to so many players publicly.

  11. I dont even want to argue that its not his market value (if he contract doesnt run out – Leverkusen is trying to scam us there). I can see that he can only get better in the next 4 years and he is already extremely solid. Rüdiger took time aswell before becoming an elite defender and is at the brink of worldclass now. See Boateng aswell: when we got him people thought he will be a fringe player.

    That being said if we sell De Ligt now and sign a 28 year old Tah it just sounds like bad business to me.

    Now he is just okay and not nearly the quality of player we want or need.

  18. I don’t hate eberl becuase with recent signing like ito and olise he really got some cooking but tah is something unexplainable. I think he wants to sell a good player that can give club some money to spend it on multiple positions which is not a bad thinking but still i am against selling de ligt

  20. Madrid fan here, coming in peace. What’s the rationale for (if rumors are true) swapping from De Ligt to Tah? 

  21. From a data and analytics perspective, Eberl clearly sees something that we do not. Otherwise there would not be so much insistence on Tah. So let us hypothesize: what is it that Eberl sees we are missing out?
