  1. Damn, I didn’t realise Turkey lost such a high proportion of its population.

Edit: just looked it up on Wiki. The number includes the Armenian Genocide which killed ~1 million

  2. We had half of that amount in EVERY source I can get (simple ex wikipedia, around 450-650k). Wtf is coming from that number? Also Fr*nce is too low, they never experience unemployment for decades, do you know Verdun? And I’m not even talking about Br*ts and their marvelous advance in the mud.

  3. Not even the war on terror by the US was as pointless as WW1

  4. At least 500k of German+Austrian losses were Poles fighting other Poles mostly on eastern front 💀(and up to 1.2 million in total)

  6. FROM A SHOT THAT WOULD CHANGE THE WORLD!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️

  7. Maps were a lot tidier then. Fewer pointless little countries making everything messy.

  8. Stupid stupid Wilhelm, why couldn’t you just be reasonable.

At least he was punished accordingly, but having to spend the rest of his life in the NETHERLANDS.
(in his mansion surrounded by his servants…)

  9. WWI & WWII, the wars when Europe nerfed itself… never again!

  10. Wouldnt it make more sense to colour code according to relative deaths?

  11. The war that ruined Europe and led to WW2.
Without WW1 France, Britain and Germany could still rule a big part of the world and eastern Europe wouldn’t be the shithole it is today.

  12. And it seems we’ve learned nothing or are at the very least, starting to forget…

  13. Frankly, as a European I am happier with our present day somewhat dysfunctional European model than anything else we tried before. Not having to go and die in a war is real good.

  14. A round of applause for the PortuBros. They could have stayed out of it (they did try to) and who could have blamed them? But in the end they honoured the Anglo-Luso Alliance of 1373.

  15. Why is the portuguese flag in spain? I am just asking, but I really like it that way!

  16. Whoa i didn’t realize we were like 85 millions belgians back then
