  2. Someone should tell PiS that no one oppresses and co-ops the Catholic Church like the CCP. Bad look for the HOS to go pal around with genocidal communist atheists, especially in a party that hung its hat expressly on populist conservatism and alleged traditional Christian values — and even borrowed its name from the Bible.

  3. I want to belive that Duda will be there to propose something to weaken chinese support for russia but my faith in it is nearly nonexistent.

  4. This map should only show EU countries, at first glance it looks like the entirety of geographic Europe is boycotting except Lux and Poland lol.

  5. Polish president is an idiot and a puppet controlled by Kaczynski. He doesnt care about democracy, human rights etc etc. Oh, and he loves skiing.

  6. Considering China being second biggest trading partner after Germany, it’s not that strange. If you don’t wan’t totalitarian regimes to host sporting events (Russia – WC, China – Olympics, Qatar – WC) don’t award it to them. Simple as that. If bodies responsible for awarding such a events are corrupt. Disband them. Easy as that. Otherwise sending sportsmen there is pure hipocrisy.

  7. Is this really accurate? The Germans for example didn’t say yes but they also didn’t say no …

  8. Czech president would love to be present, but he is too old and too drunk to be able to. Thank god for that….

  9. So entire Europe are hipocrites, they don’t like China but they sent their athletes to compete in Beijing. “China baaaaad, but…”

  10. Poland apparently can’t miss an opportunity to suck up to an autocratic regime, Putin’s being the honorary exception. I wonder how they balance that with sucking up to China’s arch rival, the US, too. (Checks notes.) Oh, by buying some old US tanks, even though they already have comparable technology from the Germans, because you know, maintaining two sets of equipment is always easier than one. Poland’s government really is a dumpster fire of opportunism, internal contradictions and lack of any coherent vision.

  11. Hmm so its ok not to go to the Olympics because (insert crime China has committed) but everyone will show up at the Qatar WC, a well know country for respecting women’s right, freedom of speech and where more than 5000 workers have died building the stadiums. Nice!

  12. The Czech head of state would be there too if he hadn’t ruined his body with alcoholism to the point where he can no longer travel.

  13. It’s about Energy and gazputin prices, folks. I bet Duda wants Xi to help Poland make coal great again, as to troll both Germany and Russia.

  14. Normally I would say something about the Chinese influence and stuff but knowing *who* our president is, I am just going to say there is a high chance he doesn’t actually have anything better to do at this particular point in time. He has borderline no influence in Polish politics.
