That light composition.
I htink the photographer knew what he was doing. Might not be entirely accidental.
I think this sub has a hard to telling the difference between wonderfully composed moments fo life that a photographer captures, such as this, and the photos that are actually accidental. The sub used to be made up of photos that cntained composition that the photographer was not even aware of when they took the image, or those with just lucky comp (like birds flying away in order out of chance) But now it’s made up mostly of nicely shot photographs. Point being that I doubt that photographer took this image ‟accidentally”
The guy iwth the cigartte looks like he can tell one hell of a sea story.
I can’t tell if this is a van Ostade or Le Nain brothers
At first I thought that’s a still from Das Boot.
Composition 10/10.
Don’t put OC if you did not personally took the photo please
Rügen do you mean Rana?
This looks like a painting.
That photo was taken by Michael Ebner. At the time he was parliament photographer of Bild, the largest German tabloid. He accompanied Merkel for a few days campaigning in her district at the request of her party’s public relations officer.
There is an [old article describing the scene from the time she was first elected chancellor.](https://www.spiegel.de/politik/die-fischer-und-ihre-frau-a-77e3958f-0002-0001-0000-000040788889)
Why does it look like a colorized picture from 1909?
