Sorry for hijacking your sub, and maybe also for the silly question.

I do have a car that was built and equipped for the nordic market. Somehow it found the way down south to Switzerland, where I am now the happy owner. The car did come with a Webasto heating system, but unfortunately without a manual or a type indication of the built in Webasto device. Therefore googling did not really help.

I am now wondering if it would be possible to use the Webasto for keeping the temperature (down) while the car is being parked for an hour or so. I remember once seeing a blue light on the parking heater button, hence my question.

Car in question is a Mercedes GLE first registered in 07/2017.

Thank you very much, and happy to give a chuckle 🙂

  1. At first i thought “No”, as all the Webasto systems I have used have been for heating only. However, checking the Webasto page, they do do cooling systems:

I guess you need to see what your car’s manual says. Though for a regular civilian car, I doubt it.
