Is there a way to avoid this? Even green parties, that are supposed to be environmental conscious, are printing and sending flyers…

  1. Hahahaha still believing the green care about the environment? I called them on their bs once when they were distributing flyers

  3. I don’t mind these. It’s good to see who is who. Paper is not so much of an ecological issue. The grids powering servers and the internet are much bigger contributors to climate change.

Just put them in the recycling if you’re not interested.

  4. All they want is the power and prestige, they randomly try totally different unrelated posts, such as Zürich’s Bezirksrat, who tried Gemeinderat, Kantonsrat and others unsuccesfully, then managed to get into Schulpflege, and then got “elected” as a Bezirksrat against only himself, he was the only candidate, where he, being a “green” guy, acts like a sleazy, shady and lawless wannabe dictator

  5. I‘m not certain on specifics, but there are ways to print carbon neutral, use recycled paper etc. And even if not, I think flyers are an acceptable necessary evil in a utilitarian sense, to heighten the possibility to get people in positions of power from where they can influence decisions to tackle environmental issues on a larger level.

  6. To be fair yeah it might not be ecological, but it’s probably one of the most useful thing we receive on paper nowadays. And it’s once every election, which means it’s insignificant compared to the paper mass of commercial ads.

  7. Please stop confusing the green party with the green liberal party, they are not the same.

Also: Be a good Bünzli, recycle the flyers and move on to real problems.
