In 1937 homosexuality was not allowed in belgium. In this part of the map there was a fenced community where they dropped people of those believes to get them out of society and shield them from the “normal” people. This subborn was called le grande. Which is groot in dutch. And since it wass full of gay people it later on got called grote homo
