
It’s not that well known in the world that, from the 14th to the 16th century, the Swiss were fearsome warriors. In fact if you told people that they would probably laugh.
Is that better known in Switzerland itself? Is it taught in school? How is it seen—is there pride, shame, or indifference?

I think most people here are aware of Swiss history. It is taught in schools.
There is no pride or shame, as it ended in the 16th century, and, uh, that was a long time ago.

Yes it’s fairly well known as it is taught in school. Albeit often in a dry and uninteresting way (but that goes for history in general)
