Reform UK makes official complaint against Channel 4 over ‘electoral interference’

3. This is the kind of tactic Trump uses. Launch a load of complaints and arguments right before election day to undermine the legitimacy of our process and claim the media is against him. This at channel 4, his claims of audience selection bias at the BBC. It feels like Reform and Farage are laying the groundwork to claim the election was unfair against them.

   It’s horrible seeing this kind of thing here with how effective it seems to be in the US.

4. So he’s made an official complaint about Channel 4, refuses to appear on the BBC (after he had all his scheduled appearances) & has threated to sue that bastion of the left, the Daily Mail.

    What we know is: this guy IS an actor, who advertised his skilled ability at “secret filming” and his “rough voice” (which he uses in the expose), and has previously worked with Channel 4.

    That’s not direct proof of anything, but not thinking it doesn’t at all look fishy is stupid.

16. I’m sorry but this guy is an actor who is using his ‘rough voice’, theres videos of himself doing. He never did stuff before reform and as far as they said it was the first time. His profile also says he’s part of a left leaning group. Add in he said probably the most heinous things you can think of, and no one has come forward saying they’ve known this guy to be the most racist piece of shit

    If you don’t think that’s strange and worth further questions then you are blinded by your hatred for Farage.

17. At this point there seems to be a lot of evidence supporting the allegations the guy in the film was a plant. This is incredibly serious if true and everyone should be vehemently against electoral interference by a major broadcaster regardless of political persuasion. It’s vital the truth is established.

Farage seems to have taken a few leaves from Trumps playbook re the scoffs of “fake News” and the attempts to muddy the waters with some sort of fatuous contrivance designed to sew the seeds of doubt or conspiracy when met with unflattering realities that reflect poorly upon the nature of the type of politics he deals in..

    All parties he’s been associated with in recent years.. ‘Ukip’ and the ‘brexit party’ were ultimately exposed as an unelectable hotbed of cranks and bigots – duly crumbling into embarrassing irrelevance. It seems ‘reform’ is shaping up to be a similar story.

    Everything farrage has been associated with and lobbied for has spelled disaster for the UK.

    Brexit has economically disadvantaged the country, an estimated £40 billion per year has been taken from the economy through the tangle of red tape and lack of coherent and seamless trading relationship with the EU the UK benefited from previously.

    Illegal crossings have increased exponentially. In part as a consequence of the UK voiding the Dublin agreement with former EU partners – which placed greater responsibility upon France to control and limit the number of dangerous crossings.

    Brexit has pushed whatever passed as a normal tenor of politics off its axis..

    The result, a revolving door or second rate pm’s who cannot square the circle of brexit. Farage and co carping from the wings trading on the same cliches his idol Powell and co spouted decades before.

    For a person who claims not to be racist. He certainly seems to have a lot of racist friends and associates. What a curious coincidence..

21. Nah I’m sorry, after seeing the evidence I’m definitely suspicious of this guy. It’s not confirmed he’s a plant, but I’m not just accepting it as real. He’s a small actor, he wore a fancy dress polyester suit and he spouted all the perfect stereotypical racist sound bits Channel 4 were looking for, as if he was playing a character. The only thing I will say is the Equity UK membership looks fine to me, it is not some left wing pressure group as some are making out.

    This is his account. It contains showcase videos of the various voices he can do. You can see his normal voice, which is neutral and well-spoken, and then his ‘rough’ accent (his words) which he uses for this particular character. He also lists one of his skills as ‘undercover filming’.

    Bear in mind this man introduces himself to the secret filmer as a ‘property developer’ who speaks with a cockney accent. It then turns out he’s actually a well-spoken (his words) actor.

    Don’t forget he proceeds to act like a comical caricature of what some people think reform are like, saying the most absurdly racist things to complete strangers and also a guy he just met.
