  1. The article variously describing it as a “line” and an “extension”…. If it’s just a 4-station extension to the Green line, it’s not a new line.

  2. Dublin needs a circular route next. One which goes through the docklands going north of the canal and then west via drumcondra then back south via heuston and east via kimmage/ranelagh/ringsend back to the Docklands. Double track with trams going in either direction (think London Underground Circular Line). This would allow options other than having to get to the city centre to go east or west.

  3. So swords? Right? Swords you know in the works for 40 years? Maybe more.

Also Blanch and Liffey and Tallsght all need to be connected with the prior 2 connected to the city. Also towns like Naas into the fold. N7 has enough traffic coming in that it would be worthwhile

  4. Why the need for the intentionally misleading title from IT on this?

  5. I wonder what affect it’ll have on Finglas in terms of gentrification.

Does anyone know what percentage of houses in Finglas are social?

  6. Cork could do with something.

I’m 53 and expect I’ll be retired before anything happens.

  7. You’d swear Dublin was a city of 100k with how excited they get about a simple tram line.
