  1. It remains unclear whether the exact date is December 2 or 4, Old Calendar, which would be December 15/17 New Calendar.

[Uroš “the Weak”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefan_Uro%C5%A1_V), as he is remembered by epic poetry and folk tales, died just months after the catastrophic defeat of Serbia at the [Battle of Maritsa](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Maritsa) which saw the death of much of Serbia’s nobility. With him, the main branch of the [Nemanjic Dynasty](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemanji%C4%87_dynasty) that ruled Serbia with much success for 200 years, also died out.

For more info, see the [Fall of the Serbian Empire](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fall_of_the_Serbian_Empire).

  2. There is no need to put “V”. He was the fourth ruler who bore the regnal name of *Stephen/Stefan Uroš*. So, either Stephen/Stefan Uroš IV or Stephen/Stefan Uroš (considering the fact that he was the only emperor to bear this regnal name) would’ve been appropriate.

He died on December 4, 1371, there’s a wide consensus on this issue today. However, the difference between the calendars would’ve been 8 days, meaning that this post would’ve been appropriate either on December 4 (considering that the Gregorian calendar didn’t exist at the time) or December 12 (adjusted for difference).
