  1. Rightwing; guvment doing things is bad

Also right wing: we need the government to police women’s toilets from the threat of rogue trouser demons

  2. Who the fuck cares?! Honestly this whole argument is ridiculous

  3. The fact they’re trying to gotcha Labour with this really does show how they have absolutely nothing left in the tank.

  4. This rhetoric is going to cause vigilantes to not only attack trans people, but masculine looking CIS women.

Can I see your genitals mate?

  5. You know, I’d love to see the toilet door sign that magically repels people if they’re visually the wrong gender.

  6. None, cos the Tories shut them all down at the expense of disabled people. Well done, Niccolo. Great choice of party.

  7. Who gives a flying fuck? Do they really think that if a man wants to rape someone, he can’t just go into the toilet?

  8. This old cunt is obsessed with woman’s toilets. But does he really expect the Govt to start policing every toilet in the land, have genital inspectors at every door?

  9. I’m on holiday in Canada at the mo and they seem to have got round it fairly easily in a lot of/most places (pubs/bars, music venues, restaurants etc) by getting rid of the urinals, and the very concept of “Mens” and “Womens” toilets, simply having individual non-gendered cubicles. I know of some pubs and venues that already do this in the UK, but it does seem a simple, practical solution that deftly sidesteps those who try to force their politics on where other people pee.

  10. Why are they so obsessed with genitalia? It’s so fucking weird. Get a normal hobby, like stamp collecting or bird watching. Leave trans people to shit in peace.

  11. Well, at least we are getting all the really important questions out there. Never mind, the economy, infrastructure, insane cost of housing and food. The homelessness, knife crime, shop lifting. You know, all that inconsequential bullshit. Ferrari is asking the REAL question, where should people be allowed to pee?

  12. Unless you’re going to have guards standing outside each public toilet who have authorization to check ID, Birth Certificate, and for potential Gender Recognition Certificates… I think people will just use whichever one they think they’ll get the least harassed in.

    edit: grammar/spelling

  13. > Shadow education secretary Bridget Phillipson refused to say if a “trans woman with a penis” should be able to use the lady’s toilets when pressed multiple times by Nick Ferrari.

With transwomen, can their penis still function? Isn’t it just only for wee wee? If they looked like women, behaves like women, maybe haven’t fully took the leap, I’d say they are women, not?

  14. How about we have a trans woman on to talk about how this constant rhetoric is humiliating and dehumanising. That might be fun!

  15. Labour needs to send out a memo to respond to this question with “just fuck off, Nick. You tried to get everyone back into the workplace a week before COVID infections spiked – and this was before we had vaccines. Your opinions would literally have killed tens of thousands of people if people acted on them.”

  16. Nick Ferrari and the other raging TERFS want to stand outside toilets and ask bairns to take down their keks to inspect what genitals they have before allowing them to enter. It is so odd. Why do these angry bigots want to inspect genitals anyway?

  17. Is it me or is Nick Ferrari obsessed with women with penii?

Does he have a bit of a thing going on here, a-la Alan Partridge, that we and LBC are enabling?

  18. Recently a Transgender girl who was forced to use the boys bathroom in an American school was severely beaten for using it by a load of boys.

    Trans women cannot win.

Here is the thing. If someone is presenting as female ket them use the woman’s bathroom. They are not going to be dressing up that way just to get in there as a Cus man and perv. Yes people can point to isolated cases but they are incredibly rare.

The vast majority are Trans women who just want to go about their business without fuss.

A Trans woman going into a male bathroom draws far more attention and is far more likely to be attacked. Same for a Trans man using a woman’s bathroom.

If a Cis man wants to attack a woman in a woman’s bathroom he will just do it and not go to some elaborate charade dressing up as a woman to do so.

  19. Why do these discussions always focus on genitalia and not on the wider social issues as domestic abuse and domestic violence, disability or mental health issues such as social anxiety?

I’ve been an Equalities Officer for the Greens, I’m also a trans woman. The way I would address these questions is by countering with the following questions:

    * An incidence of domestic violence against women takes place every 2 minutes. If the Government cannot address the issue of domestic violence and domestic abuse against women in any meaningful way, then how do you expect them to ensure the safety of women in single sex spaces?
    * The rights of trans women and natural born women intersect in ways which are significant and important to this discussion. One example of this intersection is the fact that sexual and domestic abuse occurs in childhood for a significant proportion of both natural born women and trans women. Which example of childhood sexual abuse is more acceptable to you?
    * How many of these single sex spaces are accessible to women with disabilities? Or are we limiting our discussion to only protecting single sex spaces for able-bodied women? Okay so what about the protection of single sex spaces for women with disabilities?
    * If the protection of single sex spaces for vulnerable women is so important to the Government, then why is it so hard for women with past trauma and social anxiety to claim PIP and obtain limited capability for work? At what point does protection of vulnerable women become important? At what point does the protection of vulnerable women cease to be important?

This reductionist argument of past human trauma does not work. Biological sex and gender identity are two separate aspects of identity. Being made to declare whether you have a penis or a vagina as a security question is one which I assume most people would find offensive.

  20. Why is England so hung up on trans people to the point it’s called Terf Island?

  21. I barely make eye contact with other people in public toilets, so I have 0 interest in knowing what is in their pants. Who are these people that go into public toilets and inspect and assess everyone else? That’s a bit creepy if you ask me, just let people piss and leave in peace.

  22. Surely one goes to the toilet to either piss or shit? What does it matter which toilet ANYONE uses?

  23. Just a Tory mouthpiece being weird about people’s genitals, nothing new here
