South East Antrim UDA bosses have been accused of protecting yet another sex offender.

Shamed ex-soldier Jonathan ‘Jonny’ Falls, who was jailed for recording himself sexually assaulting a sleeping woman, has been spotted in the company of members of the terror gang.

The 39-year-old has also moved into a newbuild apartment in the loyalist Rathcoole estate in Newtownabbey, causing anger among his neighbours.

One told us: “It’s sickening to see a sex offender like Falls strutting about the estate in the company of UDA members. People are rightly angry because he’s a danger to women.

“There’s also big questions about how someone who is from Dunmurry can get a new apartment in Rathcoole when so many local people are on Housing Executive waiting lists.”

The Rathcoole UDA came under fire from locals earlier this year after being accused of taking a £5,000 payment from associates of convicted paedophile Bradley McGarrell so that he could return to the estate.

This was after the 21-year-old mechanic was jailed for eight months for a catalogue of sex crimes on a vulnerable 13-year-old girl.

Now some members of the UDA seem to have no concerns about being seen in the company of sex offender Jonny Falls.

Our source added: “This shows the hypocrisy of the UDA. In the past it has put sex offenders and paedophiles out of Rathcoole, but if you’re friends with its men or hand over protection money, you can stay with no problems.”

Falls was jailed for 15 months in 2014 for what a judge described as a “callous, cynical and opportunistic” sexual assault on a woman who was passed out drunk on his sofa.

The pervert filmed part of the attack on his friend’s mobile phone.

The incident occurred after a group of people including Falls and the woman had been drinking in his flat. She ended up so drunk that she passed out in his living room.

A party-goer said he saw Falls taking his lower clothing off, and naked from the waist down, rubbing himself against the prone woman. He then lifted his friend’s mobile phone and started recording himself touching his victim.

As well as being jailed, the disgraced former soldier was placed on the sex offenders register for seven years.

Sentencing him, the judge said: “This was a serious sexual offence in which the defendant took advantage of a young woman who he knew was unable to resist because of her condition.

“He assaulted her and took an intimate video of her.”

After getting out of prison, Falls moved to Portadown under the protection of LVF chief Gary Fulton, who he befriended behind bars.

He was also close to drug dealers Alan McCreery and Thomas ‘TinTin’ Nicholl but left Co Armagh after his close pal McCreery died of an overdose.

Falls has now resurfaced in Rathcoole, where he has developed links to SEA UDA figures despite being a convicted sex offender.

Following his jailing in 2014, his victim told Sunday Life: “I was sick to my stomach — it was horrible.

“Some of us passed out (from drinking) in the living room. I was asleep on the sofa. Some time after I passed out, my friend woke up and saw him (Falls) on top of me. I was unconscious.

“When my friend woke and realised I was unconscious, he ran out of the house and phoned the police.

“I was still unconscious when the police arrived. They had to wake me and tell me what happened.”

  1. The more I hear of these terrorist organisations the less I care for them

  2. How come to say anything about a terrorist group youre a tout.

And yet they wont “tout” on paedophile/rapist.

  3. As long as they’re accepted by mainstream unionism nothing will change

  4. And yet the good people of rathcoole will go out and vote for the same political parties that protect and try to legitimise these same gangs of thugs by appearing on stage with them at rallies.

  5. Lowest form of life do terrible things. Nothing surprises me there.

  6. Remember folks, reporting on loyalist paramilitary drama like recapping an episode of Neighbours is **not normal**.

It doesn’t happen anywhere else in the civilised world but somehow the unionist media are under the impression they have a responsibility to print this shite.
