Andra filipenko political analyst from vus in Lithuania talking about these latest unfolding events we know that at least seven people were killed and 25 were injured according to the officials and among them also there are policemen who uh police officers who were also killed and now we know that there is a shootout near a church in mahachkala and the operation is still ongoing we know that right now there are people in one of the churches that uh are waiting out to be rescued and uh the the now there is uh even military equipment on the streets of mahachkala uh so we still have very little information about what is actually going on uh we see all those disturbing videos of course and we see also the videos of policemen uh police cars being captured and um we still don’t know how many people uh are participating in this uh terrorist operation and we don’t know how many people are participating from the uh Russian Russian officials uh who how many policemen and who is there is FSB there we still don’t know but uh also we’ve seen the reactions now the official reactions from Uh Russian authorities some are saying uh that this has been orchestrated from the outside of of course uh State Duma Deputy from dagistan has already said that the special services of Ukraine and NATO countries are behind the terrorist attack in dagistan but this is an obvious accusation that everyone expected so the security forces in derbent are now preparing for an assault the sources are saying and um the law enforcers have blocked the militants in one of the buildings the neighborhood is closed down is blocked but we still don’t know how many terrorists are there exactly

Gunmen opened fire at a synagogue, an Orthodox church and a police post in Russia’s North Caucasus region of Dagestan on Sunday, killing six policemen and injuring 12, the region’s Russian news agencies quoted the interior ministry as saying.
