Yeah I heard this yesterday – absolutely crazy. Rather be on the side of a country who actually cares about the welfare of their soldiers. 🇺🇦
Russia is sending in human wave after human wave and they are crashing against the Shield of Democracy 🌻
Actually, about 1200 Russian soldiers are eliminated each day during the last 2 months.
June was 1168, and May was 1250 or a bit more.
35,000 in June alone.
That sounds really bad and insanely unsustainable, but it can’t be evaluated without knowing the situation on the Ukrainian side. In a war of attrition, whoever runs out of a critical resource first loses.
This seems counter productive when you’re a country with crippling demographic issues
How much is Ukraine losing?
Join the Russian army.
We’re recruiting less and losing more every day.
No fucks given by the Kremlin 🤷
If it worked in WW2 it must be a good tactic….
New russian tactic is to make Ukraine cry for all those deaths.
That’s a large sized battalion, right?
And they are also losing their armored vehicles in perhaps even greater scales.
A three day operation. This was supposed to be 3 days. But their *best* assault forces got routed. And Russia has military stores. It has a system built by others decades ago that it is draining out as we speak.
A serious question. Does Russia really have deep martial spirit? Are there always others ready to fill the breach? I don’t mean officers with braids! I mean troops.
In some ways Russia truly is a Cloud City like in the original Star Trek episode, “The Cloud Minders.” They assume someone else will die as a way of life. I thought of this episode in 2022. Moscow is a cloud city. St. Petersburg is a cloud city. All filled with cloud people.
This will be why they are recruiting from other countries to keep domestic casualties lower.
My heart is heavy for the ukrainian soldiers who are exposed to this.
The number does not mean much without considering how large Russia is. For a smaller country it would be devastating.
The only real answer to that is Shame it’s not more
