With BA and Iberia close behind. A bad look for IAG
We’re #1 🎉
Not my luggage, as I never fly with them.
Do not post on the internet that way your luggage will never get lost
Believe it. Only happened to me twice, both times with Lingus.
Ryanair stays winning
I suppose connecting flights are the main source of lost luggage.
Does this include BA and Air France legs, as those 2 rank high and there is a transfer to happen which is high risk too.
Every time we flew aer lingus in the past, our bags got lost. The last time was 2016, and it took nearly a week to get the bags back. I only fly with hand luggage now. Never risk it.
I think the methodology is flawed and Aer Lingus is top because of increased mentions due to ongoing strike.
(1 in 53 just seems plain wrong, no?)
I’d be very skeptical of the data and the manner in which it was collected. They say it’s based on the number of people talking about losing their luggage on social media. No detail is given on its relative sensitivity to complaints in each of the “100+” languages it scours the internet for. This could explain the extreme difference with Japan; do the tools used pick up complaints in Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana equally well as latinate scripts? Also, I imagine Irish people are more likely to 1) use twitter and 2) complain about losing their luggage in the first place.
While it might be true that Aer Lingus lost the most luggage, take this website with a grain of salt. The creator tracks social media posts which is not an actual representation of what each airline has actually lost
Stop employing people from Finglas.
Aer Lingus is Ryanair with a but of makeup except probably worse.
So many bad experiences with Aer Lingus and their customer service people are atrocious. So much for the ‘people’s’ airline. Haven’t flown with them in 8 years and hope to never do so again.
Ah the great suitcase loss of 2023. It still saddens me to this day. All my makeup, clothes, shoes, all my new stuff. Coming from Australia, connecting flight in London. Never saw that bag again and they were absolutely AWFUL to deal with 😪

Pure greed from the pilots.

Website is meaningless without open-sourcing the code behind these rankings imo
I don’t think aer Lingus handle luggage directly. Isn’t it Swiss port?
