What’s the law regarding pole posters outside and election are they actually litter?
Why do you want it removed?
Get on to the council, posters on public property are considered litter, without prior written permission, which the councils generally dont grant. Subject to a 150 euro fine. They will remove it
On what basis should it be removed? I wouldn’t agree with them, but they are entitled to have their opinion and promote their rally. Silencing “wrong” opinions is a slippery slope.
Is Hozier not singing “take me to church” at it?
How many Pussycatdolls have there been?
That particular horse has long bolted.
Ladder, pair of snips and a recycling bin.
Singer who “regrets having three abortions” is guest speaker at an anti abortion rally using her time singing with the PussyCat Dolls in a promotional capacity even though she says that “being a Pussycat Doll was like being in a prostitution ring”.
Best thing you can do is ignore it, and continue to support the candidates that are pro-choice in any elections.
Not my post but I saw it a few months back and it made some good points.
– ”The unborn” are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe. Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.” – Dave Barnhart
Rain is forecast for Saturday. God must be displeased.
I don’t think it’s illegal.
My advice is just learn to stomach views you dislike
Not related to this post whatsoever coughs* but amazon sells good scissors perfect for cutting many things if anyone wasn’t aware.
The fact that you disagree with it is irrelevant and you have no basis on which to remove. That is just pure petulance. Not everyone in Ireland has the same views on abortion, homosexuality, the church, Palestine etc. as Reddit makes it out to appear.
“Stop aborting our future” sounds suspiciously like “we need these births to secure our pensions”
Flamethrower?
People are allowed to have rallies and public meet ups as well as put posters up
Fire works.
Would you like it if they wanted an anti abortion sign taken down? People must be allowed to peacefully protest whether you like what they are saying or not
This is genuinely an advertisement for abortions.
Just imagine your unaborted child grew up to be Kaya Jones..
I’d remind folks sputtering with outrage over OPs unthinkably terrible suggestion that anti Repealers tried to *burn* posters they didn’t like, on public fixtures surrounded by trees and outside people’s homes, and that’s not even to mention the strangely selective windstorms that D8 in particular suddenly became prone to for a few weeks that year.
A set of wire cutters would do it
Snip snip Burgess.
Would truly love to push for this sort of thing to be regulated. It’s extremely triggering to women to see this shite on a daily basis.
If cigarette ads can be regulated because of its detriment to health, why can’t ‘anti women’s sexual rights’ ads be banned because of their dangerous implications on women’s mental well being?
No you can’t get it removed because you don’t agree with it. We live in a democratic country
We live in a democracy and it’s reasonable that people are able to organise events about things they’re passionate about. That’s an important right that applies equally to them as to us.
The truth is that only a handful of nutcases will turn up to the event, shout for a bit, and then go back home. They’re not going to change the law or have any tangible effect – the referendum settled the issue. So best just to ignore it and let them have their day out
Why have it removed? We live in a free open society. Ideas you don’t agree should be allowed.
Put yourself in the opposite position. How would you like it if they prevented you from publicly displaying your ideas?
Can of spray paint
You do realise you’re doing their job for them by posting it on the internet?
You’ve massively increased it’s audience and probably increased the attendance to the protest.

Wouldn’t be my thing but they look to be [sticking to the guidelines](https://www.dublincity.ie/residential/environment/waste-and-recycling/posters-protocol).

Just post the question without the image.
BTW, one of these would have it down in 30 seconds flat: https://www.drinaghgardencentre.ie/ourshop/prod_8143362-KentStowe-Long-Reach-Pruner-13m.html
Nope, part of living in a free democracy is putting up with other people’s free speech. Everyone has a right to an opinion and to air it.
Trying to shut them down because you don’t agree with them isn’t cool.
