  1. In case anyone didn’t read they’re doing minor crimes. Robbery, theft, small stuff anyone who did more hardcore crimes (rape and murder two or more, etc) are not eligible.

    They also go through an interview and medical and their case is reviewed.

  2. Hey, they need the help and this is a good way to repay your debt to society. Also glad that there is restriction as to who is allowed to go.

  3. Criminals are typically superior soldiers if correctly managed due to their higher risk tolerance.

  4. It hurts on the messaging front through. The “Russian soldiers are criminals” makes it hard to argue in their favor.

  5. So long as they are only releasing people charged with non-violent crimes I don’t see a problem with this. Give them a chance to redeem themselves while making sure the worst of the worst stay behind bars.

  6. Just because they are in jail does not mean some are not also patriots.

  7. Some of them may have lost their family too in this war.

    All I can say is motivated individuals regardless of whether having a minor criminal record is going to be dangerous to the enemies.
